Registration for Spring semester 2025
Once the subject area’s registrations have been opened, you can register on the ilmonet.fi website 24/7, throughout the study year.
Registration on Ilmonet requires signing up with online banking credentials/mobile certificate. If you don’t have online banking credentials, you can register at the institute’s service points.

Autumn Semester 2025
The autumn course offerings will be published on the ilmonet.fi website on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Printed study guides will be available in libraries on July 15 and at the institute’s locations on August 4.

Registration is binding.
Please review the payment and cancellation terms before registering. A course spot is personal. We will send you a reminder about the start of the course via email or text message three days before the course begins.
If you wish to register a minor for courses through ilmonet, you can contact the adult education center’s customer service before registration begins and add the minor’s information to your ilmonet account. You can also register the minor by phone.

Course registration is personal. You can register one other person than yourself by phone or at the service stations, provided you have their full contact information and social security number. Registering students must have a home address and a bank account in Finland to pay for the course.
Your registration is binding. Please read the Centre’s terms and conditions before registering with the Ilmonet service.
Sign up for the waiting list if the course has already filled up. We will notify students on the waiting list when seats become available for the course. The course information will indicate if you cannot register online.
Persons aged under 18 cannot register themselves using the Ilmonet.fi service. Guardians can register minors as family members at the Centre’s service station and register them for the course. A minor’s guardian is responsible for the fees for their family member.
Registering as a user of the ilmonet.fi service requires that you authenticate with your online bank. If you don’t have online banking credentials, you can register at a service desk.
Instruction is mainly in Finnish at the Finnish Adult Education Centre and in Swedish at our sister school, Swedish Adult Education Centre Arbis. Many courses may have an auxiliary language, as our instructors are happy to use their language skills. You’ll be fine in many courses, such as physical education, even if your Finnish or Swedish language skills are not strong. Our affordable courses are taught by professional, expert instructors who are interested in your learning and enthusiasm about joining the Finnish Adult Education Centre.

You can choose from more than 5,400 inspiring courses each year and attend 300 lectures or events. Course registration is usually in August or November–December when the courses are published. Follow our news feed and social media channels to be the first to know. Our courses are popular, so be quick if you have your eye on a particular course.
